Values
Getting tonal and colour values right are a major part of producing photo-realistic paintings. We will cover all aspects of this in class.

Colour Mixing...
You will be given colour charts as a basic guide but the real challenge will be to mix and match your own interpretations.

Applying pastel chalk is the basic ingredient to the underpainting of your portrait. understanding which colours to use will be explained so that eventually you will see the colours you need without having to spend out buying endless boxes of skin tone chalks.
